Frequently Asked Questions

What is your Service Call Fee?
Regular home appliances – $65 Built-in and stackable appliances – $75 Heaters and A/C units – $105 Note that the Service Call Fee is waived if we do the work.
Can I get a price quote over the phone?
Our past experience has shown that estimates over the phone are not very accurate. However, many unscrupulous companies use this method to attract customers with low estimates just to send their technicians to the customer’s house. We prefer to be upfront about it. After we have physically inspected the unit, for the flat Service Call Fee, we will tell you exactly how much the repair will cost and give you a written estimate.
DOES THE TECHNICIAN HAVE ALL THE PARTS? IF NOT, HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET THEM?
Our technicians carry with them a large collection of parts. In most cases, we are able to perform the repair in one visit. There are cases when the part is rare because it is brand specific or the unit is a little older and we have to place an order for those parts. In that case, availability varies but when we do receive the part (and we will do everything possible to expedite this process) we will come back and install it. There is no additional charge for the subsequent visit. The amount of the repair remains the same unless the part is more expensive. In the very rare case that this happens, we will let you know ahead of time and give you the opportunity to cancel the order.
YOU WORKED ON MY APPLIANCE BUT IT IS STILL NOT WORKING. WHAT DO I DO NOW?
Depending on the type of appliance, you have a 1 to 12 month labor warranty, and 3 month to 5 years parts warranty, If anything goes wrong with the unit, we will come out to your house at no charge and investigate the issue. We will replace the part. If it has been under the warranty time then the labor will also be free. If it has been above Labor warranty time since our repair, you do have to pay another Service Call Fee for us to diagnose the problem but your parts are still covered under the 5-year warranty.

How do humidifiers work?
If it’s warm inside, cool air from the environment can become dry. This dryness elevates and creates a build-up of static in the home leading to sinus problems. Humidifiers are known to combat this issue by improving air quality by adding additional moisture.
Should I be concerned that my heat pump is generating warm air and working for a long duration?
There is no need to be alarmed if this is the case. In most cases, heat pumps create air which is at a warm 80°. This will heat your home in an even and balanced fashion
Why is my heat pump making sounds?
Different sounds can mean different things whether problematic or not. If you are hearing a whooshing sound followed by cooler air coming through this is normal. Cold and chill temperatures will create frost. This frost builds up and can push the heat pump device to defrost. Based on how much frost or ice buildup, the duration of this process will vary. Regardless, this is considered normal and the heat pump will resume as normal once frost has been removed.
Should I get a larger A/C system or unit?
It’s important to have a unit that is properly sized for your home interior. The only and best way to do this is with a home evaluation performed by a qualified technician.
